SECTOR SUMMIT

October 30-November 1, 2023 | Detroit, Michigan
ABOUT
In response to the massive clean energy transformation, the inaugural Resilience and Equity in the Clean Energy Sector Summit (RECESS) will convene key stakeholders in the clean energy industry to advance sustainability and promote diversity, equity and inclusion in clean energy. The summit will empower Black and Brown leaders to drive positive change by providing a platform for those who are already operating in the clean energy space. It will also provide an onramp to opportunities for those seeking a place in the industry.
The mission of the inaugural RECESS is to champion the ingenuity, innovation, and determination of those who have been historically excluded from the benefits of previous economic revolutions and identify and promote the once in a lifetime opportunities to address climate change. At the same time, the summit will address inequities that have prevented Black and Brown communities from fully participating in the economic, health and safety, and environmental benefits available as a result of the progress of this country.
